The BMFA Achievement Scheme is to encourage RC model flyers to improve their standard of flying and safety.
The scheme is run at national, area and club level.
At area level there is an Achievement Scheme Co-ordinator (ASC) and a team of Area Chief Examiners (ACE).
The ASC manages the running of the scheme throughout the Area by;
- Liaise with the national scheme controller
- Arranging Club Examiner assessments
- Appointing and managing the team of Area Chief Examiners
- Arranging AS events such as Examiner training days
The ACE’s role is to test and approve new club examiners and to help maintain the standards of the Achievement Scheme.
At club level there may be club examiners and instructors who can take club members through the ‘A’ and ‘B’ certificates. (Availability of instructors/examiners varies club to club and if you need to find either an instructor or examiner then contact our ASC here who can assist.)
