Indoor flying at Newark

The Newark Indoor Flying Club held another successful open fly-in evening at their George Stephenson Exhibition Hall venue on the Newark Showground. This is their second fly-in, aimed at promoting indoor flying to people new to the hobby, and those of us who fly outdoors , but struggle with air time when the weather is not kind or during the winter months.

Several members of nearby clubs attended, and as a result of local 'whats-on' websites, a hand full of folks either new to the hobby, or returning after a number of years.

All manner of indoor aircraft were being flown from small scale fixed wings, multi-rotor drones, 3D Shock Flyers and heli's up to 450 size. The drone obstacle course was set up for those wishing to try the clubs own small quad and always is great entertainment.

Visitors were impressed with the space available for both fixed wing and rotary flying and particularly enjoyed the 3D flying on show.

Newark Indoor Flying Club Fly every Tuesday evening (except from a Christmas break) from 6:30pm at 3 venues around the Newark area. Check nifc.club for details.
